Keukenhof Garden - The Best Spring Destination in Europe

6 January 2017

Ohje... Another bucket list item checked off! This trip was a sort of long waited event of my life and that is to visit Keukenhof and the tulip fields in the Netherlands. I can't forget the fascinating aroma that welcomed us as we entered the Keukenhof garden for the first time.

This 32 hectares paradise is the most beautiful spring garden in the world. It has a massive flower display showing over 7 million spring flowering bulbs. Keukenhof Garden welcome visitors for about 8 weeks between March and May every year.

The park is located in Lisse, a small town which is roughly 45 minutes drive from Amsterdam or 25 minutes from the Amsterdam Airport. Keukenhof actually means Kitchen Garden. It has approximately hundred of exhibitors who donate the very best range of their flower bulbs each year to display on.

The natural fragrances are genuinely overwhelming and can make you high straight away. As you continue to roam around and enjoy the charm and beauty of each spring bulbs, you just can't deny how delight this garden brings into its 800,000 guests all over the world.

I feel lucky that Holland is not that far from home. It is 3 hours drive from Stuhr, Germany to Amsterdam Airport. We will definitely visit Holland every year as a“Spring tradition”.
